Cancellations
- A minimum of 36 hours’ notice is required to cancel a lesson. Otherwise, the pupil is liable for the full tuition fee.
- It is the pupil’s responsibility to check lesson dates and times.

Clear terms for reliable lessons
These conditions help protect lesson time and ensure that instructors can provide a dependable service to every pupil.
Special offer
- A special offer can be used once for the initial lesson and applies only to block bookings.
Bookings and payment
- The full fee must be paid in advance by cash or bank transfer, either to the company or directly to the instructor.
- Each block or lesson must be used within 90 days. After that, it becomes invalid and non-refundable.
- If a lesson overruns by more than 10 minutes, additional time may be charged unless the overrun is the instructor’s responsibility.
Driving test
- Harold Driving Institute (HDI) has the final say on whether a pupil is ready for the driving test and whether the school car can be used.
- Use of the school car for a driving test requires an additional charge.
Complaints procedure
- Please inform the office by email of any complaint. We will endeavour to address the situation.
Driving test cancellation
- If the school car is unavailable on test day because of mechanical failure or instructor illness, test fees received by the pupil will be refunded by the respective instructor. HDI is not directly liable to issue that refund.
- If the practical test is cancelled by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency, the agency normally refunds the test fee. Lessons booked that day and the school-car hire charge are not refundable.
